Based on the level of agreement found the wave forecasts were then modified slightly and used to estimate the mean annual and seasonal (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) theoretical wave power resource around Ireland. Winter Average Power Flux Kw measures the average power within each wave for the Irish Wave Energy Resource Atlas. Winter refers to the months of December, January and February.
